Message	So i am on the way to a huge appointment this morning and looked down and realized my temp gauge was all the way at the top. I could smell antifreeze slightly on the highway, thank god i seen it was running hot. Anyways generally speaking, i always thought that when a thermostat went bad, you could just turn on the heat to help cool down. Am i right or is it the opposite? My car was not putting out any heat through the vents at all. I am trying to decifier if its the water pump and/or the thermostat. What are your thoughts. Unfortunealy that was the only thing i forgot to replace when i installed the new engine
